Even though you might think of us as wedding photographers first, we always enjoy the opportunity to capture an engagement session before wedding bells are ringing. Thankfully, Jay and Nicole embraced the crisp winter air and snow surrounding them during their winter engagement session (and it made for awesome pictures!).

‘Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving

Jay and Nicole first met the night before Thanksgiving at a local bar near their hometown, J.J. Grimby’s. The two started chatting and immediately hit it off, vowing to stay in touch and becoming Facebook friends a day later. For their first date, the couple headed to Legal Seafoods… But Jay didn’t realize she had a shellfish allergy! They went out to another bar afterward, and the rest was history.

The couple dated for just over two years before getting engaged in December 2018. Jay and Nicole drove to Maine for a getaway. Jay popped the question outside of the restaurant they went to for dinner, only to surprise Nicole again by having both sets of their parents waiting inside to celebrate dinner! The weekend and trip were both spent celebrating the engagement and enjoying the Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport with family and friends.

A Beautiful Winter Engagement Session

While winter weather was present for their winter engagement session, Jay and Nicole weren’t intimidated in the least! They enjoyed putting on their winter boots and heading out into the snow for adorable and romantic pictures. It was a joy to see such a loving, fun couple embrace the snowy backdrop for their winter engagement session.

Thank you for including us in your winter engagement session, Jay and Nicole. We’re excited and looking forward to your wedding!
